Freccia Celeste HC/Record

Freccia Celeste - The legendary Bianchi motorcycle used by the fabulous Tazio Nuvolari.

 

A unique frame of a new generation made with Hydroforming technology. The 7000 series aluminium, alloyed with Zn-Mg-Cu, permits a high mechanical strength (tensile strength 450N/mm2) combined with a greater elongation, allowing tube manipulation through high pressure techniques.

 

The triple-butted tubing has been designed using the simulation mode of FEM (Finite Element method) software, in order to obtain the best torsional stiffness of the frame. This results in a frame which, thanks to the rear stays, made entirely of carbon fibres oriented to allow the damping of excessive vibrations, permits us to obtain excellent performances of reactivity and response to sudden directional changes. The Structural Foam Injection, in the most stressed areas, and the phosphor-chromate surface treatment remarkably increases the durability of this innovative frame.
