FG Lite Alu/Carbon Record

FG - The initials of one of the greatest Bianchi champions: Felice Gimondi.

 

Incredibly light and originally suitable for climbers, the frame has now evolved into a machine suitable for everyone even sprinters. The exclusive 7000 series Hyperalloy aluminium, alloyed with Zinc and Magnesium, used in this frame, is a point of reference for all material designers yet is unbeatable on the market (having a tensile strength of 650N/mm2).

 

The triple-butted tubing (with a minimum thickness of 0,65mm up to a maximum of 1,15mm), combined with the new oversize seat tube, with a diameter of 35mm, and the new Monostay design in high modulus carbon fibre, stiffens this extra-light frame, which can be used as well by both heavy and strong riders, without dissipating the energy used into frame deformation. The Structural Foam Injection, in the most stressed areas of the frame, and the phosphor-chromate surface treatment remarkably increases the durability of this exclusive frame.
