San Mateo
Bicycling Magazine called the San Mateo a race-ready, budget-priced Bianchi good enough to be ridden in the Tour de France, comparing it to $6,000 pro bikes. That's good news for you. Stiff enough for racing, with carbon stays to take the edge off, the San Mateo is not a me-too racer with the ubiquitous Japanese components. For those who prefer the solid braking and shifting that the Italian components from Campagnolo are famous for, this entry race bike is for people who want to stand out from the pack. We make 9 sizes, from 44cm to 63cm, because we've never believed you can fit everyone with only 3 or 4 frame sizes. The Vento wheels shed 230g for 2006, so acceleration is vastly improved.
