Beginner Rossi claims Italian cyclo-cross title
Youngster Giorgio Rossi claimed Italian cyclo-cross title
Thirteen year-old Giorgio Rossi nailed a well-deserved solo win in the Beginner event at the Italian Cyclo-cross Championships, held in Rome on Saturday January 8th. Rossi claimed the first podium position 10” ahead of second placed Stefano Vettorel (Bosco di Orsago), with Luca Montagner (Mosole) in third, 13” behind. Also Chiara Teocchi performed a solid race in Rome finishing a good third in his respective series, to bring TX Active-Bianchi a further important medal.
Rossi added his tricolore jersey to the Maglia Rosa he recently achieved by taking the overall win at the Cyclo-cross Giro d’Italia challenge. TX Active-Bianchi’s talented rider dominated 2010-2011 winter season as he stole the show in the most important cyclo-cross events on Italian soil and confirmed his abilities on muddy courses.
TX Active-Bianchi will be also in action tomorrow, Sunday 9th, with Beginner Italian MTB Champion Federico Barri and Cristian Boffelli, joined by former Under23 Italian cyclo-cross Champion Cristian Cominelli who will try his luck in the Elite race.
