Miguel Rubiano - Stage 6 Winner!!!

Androni Giocattoli's Miguel Angel Rubiano Chavez on Bianchi Oltre took an outstanding solo win at Giro d'Italia's stage-6, 210 km from Urbino to Porto Santo Elpidio (Central Italy), on Friday, May 11th. Colombian rider left the early race's breakaway group with 45 km to go, crossing the finish line with a 1:10 advantage on the the new race leader Adriano Malori.

Rubiano is now 4th in the GC, although Colombian rider was pedaling on his Oltre virtually wearing the pink jersey until three km to go, after having taken the KOM classification lead. Rubiano took Colombian 15th victory at Giro d'Italia and the third for Bianchi Oltre bike: the previous victories had been taken by Angel Vicioso in Rapallo (North-West Italy) and Josè Rujano on the Grossglockner tophill (Austria) in 2011.

At 2012 Giro Androni Giocattoli already took a Top-5 with sprinter Roberto Ferrari in the stage-2.
