Italian sprinter Roberto Ferrari on Bianchi Oltre took an overbearing victory at Giro d'Italia's stage 11, 255 km from Assisi to Montecatini Terme (Tuscany - Central Italy). Thanks to a burst of speed on the home straight, Androni Giocattoli's rider outsprinted Italian Francesco Chicchi and Lithuanian Tomas Vaitkus, withstanding World Champion Mark Cavendish recovery’s attempt.

Italian sprinter Roberto Ferrari on Bianchi Oltre took an overbearing victory at Giro d'Italia's stage 11, 255 km from Assisi to Montecatini Terme (Tuscany - Central Italy). Thanks to a burst of speed on the home straight, Androni Giocattoli's rider outsprinted Italian Francesco Chicchi and Lithuanian Tomas Vaitkus, withstanding World Champion Mark Cavendish recovery’s attempt.
Ferrari's took the second victory for Androni Giocattoli team and Bianchi Oltre at 2012 Giro d'Italia, after Miguel Angel Rubiano Chavez stage6 solo win in Porto Sant'Elpidio. At 2012 Giro Gianni Savio's team also placed second with Fabio Felline in Frosinone (stage 9) and a fourth with Ferrari himself in the second stage, featuring start and arrival in Herning (Denmark). Angel Rubiano still remains King of the Mountain for the Androni Giocattoli Team and Bianchi OLTRE!
