Scandium frame Relatively new to bicycle applications, Scandium is an element which is alloyed with aluminum to significantly increases tensile and yield strength, and improve weldability and weld strength. The 2003 Super Grizzly's frame is double-butted Scandium 7000, with MegaPro down tube, ZeroFlex stays, and an integral headset. Ibex rear suspension

A clean-sheet design for 2003, with a brand new Scandium frame and Shimano's sophisti-cated and light new XTR group. Dual Control Hydraulic disc brake levers also shift gears from just about any hand position. At 21.5lbs for the 19.5 inch bike, this is one of the lightest and fastest hardtails available.
