TX Active-Bianchi team started 2010 MTB season at the XCO Internazionali d’Italia (Round 1) in Massa Marittima (Tuscany Region), on Sunday March 7, with Italian Cristian Cominelli finishing third in the Under23 classification.
The 22 year-old Italian champion showed his aggressive style of racing throughout the whole race and placed 22nd overall.
The first TX Active-Bianchi’s rider to cross the finish line was Colombian champion Leonardo Paez who settled for a 16th position. Also French Stephane Tempier looked fit and combative as he constantly rode at the front in the first half of the race. Unfortunately he lost contact from the leading riders due to a crash and a puncture but managed to finish in the first 20 positions. Both Julio Caro and the new intake Ricardo Marinheiro rode well and were able to finish their race over the Tuscany’s circuit (won by Italian Marco Aurelio Fontana).
Following today’s debut, the Bianchi MTB team is now focusing on the next appointment with high spirit: Round 2 of Internazionali d’Italia in Montichiari – Northern Italy, on March 14.
