Bianchi and Team Androni-CIPI extending their cooperation to 2012

Bianchi and Team Androni-CIPI continue their sponsorship contract with an extension until the end of 2012, with an option for 2013.

It is incredible to have the opportunity to continue our cooperation with one of the most successful teams in the world”, Bianchi CEO Bob Ippolito said. “We have a common vision. It was a natural consequence to extend the deal for another season and an opportunity to further showcase our new Oltre model with one of the top teams in cycling today”.

Team Androni’s successful Giro d’Italia, with two stage wins and terrific number of top-10 placements, gave great exposure to the historic Italian brand and its new flagship model. In its first year in competition, the Oltre has proved its performance advantage.

Alongside stunning results achieved at the Giro and throughout the whole season, Team Androni provided important feedbacks to Bianchi’s R&D department. The feeling between the company and all team’s riders was really empathic, same as with team’s management leaded by Gianni Savio andMarco Bellini. “We are really excited we renewed the agreement with Bob Ippolito and his staff. We're proud to display the 'tricolore' shield, as Italian champions, on our jerseys and Bianchi 'Celeste' all over the world. We are proud to be part of the continuing history of the Bianchi brand and champions like Fausto Coppi, Felice Gimondi and Marco Pantani", team manager Gianni Savioexplained.

Team Androni expects to confirm most of this year’s roster in 2012. Venezuela’s Josè Rujano is on the brink to renew the contract with the team he owed an amazing come back on the international scene (at the Giro he clinched stage race on Grossglockner top mountain finish and placed seventh overall). Team’s 2012 project is focused on keeping this year high-level performances with another opportunity to put themselves across at 2012 Giro d’Italia.
